It is with great pleasure that I introduce this first post on our new website dedicated to those wonderfully intriguing and sometimes frustrating furry friends known as… drumrolls… the kitty cat. That’s right! Here on KittyCatSoapBox we’ve created a website that allows cat owners to come together and discuss one of the most sought after items in a cat’s life. Do you know what that might be? If you said cat toys and other lovely little kitty things then you guessed correctly.

I have a Siamese, Russian Blue mix and he’s a handful. We call him Hercules. He’s big. And scary to some folks. He most definitely lives up to his name. But at the end of the day, he’s a huge softie. LOL That’s right. Our Hercules won’t be scaring off any lesser gods anytime soon. However, we love him all the same.

Let me tell you a bit about me. My name is KaSonndra Leigh. If you’re as Google savvy as some other cat afficionados, then you’ll know that I participate in many online endeavors. And while I love my Yorkiepoo (aka Kobe) and guinea pigs (aka Daria and Lela) and birds (aka Birdie One and Birdie Two…don’t ask…LOL) and all the other animals we covet in our home, I’ve always held a soft spot for the kitty cat. This is why I started KittyCatSoapBox.com. Dog owners around the world have an abundance of websites to choose from when searching for tips on food, grooming, vet care, mood swings and toys. Why not give the cat the same treatment?

Did you know that the ancient Egyptians worshipped their cats because it was believed that cats were the gatekeepers of the underworld? During the ancient times, cats were kept in their own private rooms, mini palaces decorated just as elaborately as the homes of the pharoahs themselves. Anyone who has experienced the jewel-like gaze of the Siamese or the dog-like qualities of the Manx (my two favorite breeds) would probably agree that the ancient Egyptians were on to something in their observations.

So sit back, relax and grab a cup of coffee while you explore the website. In the near future, we intend to have a forum where you can come and talk to us about your furry, intriguing babies and even leave reviews for other folks to enjoy. While KittyCatSoapBox will initially focus on cat toys (my Siamese/Russian Blue mix needs no less than 10 of them) we’re also working in the background to develop our own products and can’t wait to share them with you.

Welcome and enjoy your stay!
